This is the Houston Photographic Study Group*

HPSG is an association of amateur and professional photographers, of varying levels of experience, who aspire to improve their photographic skills. Members are people who want more than social activities, competitions, programs, and workshops of their photo clubs.  They are people who want to learn what it takes to be better photographers, but they also need to avoid the costs and other demands of a school.

Three Facilitators--Glenn Edwards, Dion McInnis, and Laszlo Perlaky--rotate as discussion leaders for our monthly meetings once each quarter. These three highly-regarded local professional educators, from different photographic backgrounds, and with different philosophical outlooks and areas of emphasis, give our members both varied and consistent feedback and guidance.

Meetings

HPSG meets the first Thursday each month at Tracy Gee Community Center at 7:00pm. Any business, welcoming of new members and visitors is handled quickly at the beginning of the meeting, after which photo critique and discussion commences.

Meetings are not generally open to the public, however, if you are considering joining, please visit us at a couple of meetings first.

Meeting location:
3599 Westcenter Drive Houston, TX 77042
